General English

We’ll teach you the English Language at the correct level using lively and effective communicative methods. 

Students are offered 15 hours of General English per week at all levels, beginner to advanced.

The 15-hour programme is taught between 9.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. each morning, Monday to Friday.

This can be combined with afternoon classes from 2.00 p.m. – 4.15 p.m. which focus on IELTS preparation or afternoon work experience.

IELTS Preparation

For students aiming to progress to a UK university, our IELTS preparation course will prepare you for success.

With a proven track record and past students who went on to achieve distinctions at Masters level, we incorporate study skills and academic skills into the programme. We have trained IELTS examiners on our academic team.

English Plus Work Experience

An opportunity to develop your life skills and workplace skills as well as cultural awareness and improved language skills during a 4-week stay.  The package includes English lessons, organisation of a work placement, host family accommodation, full induction and supervision, a work experience diary and a Level 1 certificate in Health & Safety at Work.

Adult Group Courses

Our popular adult group courses include 10 – 15 English lessons per week plus accommodation, either residential or in host families.  We can design a course especially for your group, whether they need to study English for Special Purposes (for example travel & tourism, hospitality, aviation, oil industry, teacher training) or simply want to brush up their English whilst enjoying a cultural experience of the North of England or any other creative or leisure activity as listed on our home page.
